Grand National Festival Dates

The Grand National Festival is a three-day National Hunt meeting that takes place at Aintree Racecourse every April and features the race the world stops to watch – The Grand National Steeple Chase.

The Festival is made up of three separate days: Liverpool NHS Day, Ladies Day and Grand National Day, all of which offer their own higher-value featured race, with The Betway Aintree Hurdle Race on Day One, The Marsh Steeple Chase on day Two and The Randox Grand National Steeple Chase on Day Three.

This year’s edition of The Grand National Festival is scheduled to take place from Thursday the 8th until Saturday the 10th of April 2021.

Day One – Liverpool NHS Day – Thursday the 8th of April 2021

Liverpool NHS Day will be the first day of The Grand National Festival 2021 and will take place on Thursday the 8th of April 2021. Liverpool NHS Day presents a seven-race card including the featured Betway Aintree Hurdle at 15:25.

Day Two – Ladies Day – Friday the 9th of April 2021

Ladies Day will be the second day of The Grand National Festival 2021 and will take place on Friday the 9th of April 2021. Ladies Day presents a seven-race card including the featured Marsh Steeple Chase at 15:25.

Open to horses aged four years old and above, The Pinsent Masons Handicap Hurdle is a Class 2 National Hunt handicap hurdle race for conditional jockeys and amateur riders that serves as the final race of Day Two, Ladies Day, at The Grand National festival every year.

Day Three – Grand National Day – Saturday the 10th of April 2021

Grand National Day will be the third day of The Grand National Festival 2021 and will take place on Saturday the 10th of April 2021. Grand National Day presents a seven-race card including the featured Randox Grand National Steeple Chase at 16:20.
